Employment Services (ES) assists an individual to prepare for, obtain, and retain employment. A continuum of services provides both direction and guidance to individuals in the development of job-seeking techniques as well as appropriate work-related behaviors that will enhance an individual’s employability.
Employment Services components assist in the development of job-seeking skills, job searching activities, and identification of desirable and appropriate job openings.
The four components of Employments Services (EA) are:
- Intake
- Employment Preparation
- Job Development and Place
- Employment Retention
Upon intake, the individual will complete the following activities with an assigned employment development coach:
- Assessment/review of the appropriateness of referral and preferred job choice.
- Review of Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE).
- Review of job choice and its relation to the availability of employers and job postings in the local labor market.
- Analysis of pertinent collateral information and information of past work experience and performance.
- Determination if the individual will benefit from employment services.
